Modest! Golf Management sign US LPGA star Angel Yin

Fresh off announcing their new tri-sanctioned World Invitational set for Northern Ireland in July, Modest! Golf Management are delighted to announce the signing of rising LPGA Tour star Angel Yin.

Twice a Solheim Cup competitor for Team USA, the 22-year old Californian demonstrated her huge potential with a top-10 finish on her seasonal reappearance at the Gainbridge LPGA on Sunday.

Yin, who qualified for the US Women’s Open at 13 before making her first major cut at the ANA Inspiration at 14, fired a third round 65 on her way to claiming outright seventh place in a hopeful sign of things to come for the latest Modest! Golf client.

“It’s so cool to have the chance to sign with Modest! Golf,” said Angel. “I’ve admired their work for some time now, particularly when it comes to their efforts to grow the women’s game. Their commitment to women’s golf is second to none and it makes me so excited to continue my professional journey with them by my side.”

Although just 22, in Yin, Modest! Golf have signed a player experienced beyond her years. Yin played her Rookie season on the European Tour aged 17, claiming her maiden professional victory before she reached her twenties when defeating then reigning Women’s Open champion I.K. Kim in a playoff at the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic. 

Yin’s career earnings have already surpassed the $2 million mark and with the sky the limit for the now world number 77, it’s no surprise that Modest! Golf Owner, Niall Horan is so thrilled with his latest recruit.

Horan will hope to see Yin tee-up as part of the recently announced Modest! Golf presented ISPS HANDA World Invitational set for Galgorm Castle from July 29-August 1. The event brings together the stars of the European Tour, LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour in an innovative tournament breaking down barriers, with men and women competing for an even share of the $2.45 million purse.

Angel joins a Modest! Golf stable of talent that already includes the likes of world top-10 ranked Tyrrell Hatton and fellow LPGA Tour player Leona Maguire.
