A prodigious talent on the fairways of Italy, Guido always looked destined to take the game by storm. He enjoyed a glittering career in the unpaid ranks, winning the U14, U16 and U18 Italian Championships and the 2016 Portuguese Amateur. His relentless form propelled him to the top of his nation’s amateur rankings and with nowhere else to go, his natural progression saw the then teenager turn professional in 2016.
At European Tour Qualifying School in November of 2018 the toughest examination in golf, Guido excelled once more, finishing tied 13th to earn his European Tour promotion. Harbouring a big reputation, he didn’t take long to make his presence felt in his Rookie season on Tour. He made a seamless transition to the main stage of European golf in 2019, putting quality fields to the sword at the Magical Kenya Open and the Belgian Knockout, where he beat home favourite Darius van Driel in the final.
Guido flourished at his first major, the 2021 US Open where he finished in Tied 4th place. In August 2021 Guido became an Olympian after competing in the 2020 Tokyo Games. Known for his ruthless finishing ability, Guido already boasts six professional wins, including three DP World titles with his third coming in 2022 at the Cazoo Open de France shooting a closing round of 62 to win by one stroke. Having reached a career high world ranking of 67th in September 2021, Guido will stop at nothing in his bid to break inside the world’s top-50 so he can further showcase his growing talent to the golfing world.
