Richard is beginning to make waves in the professional game after a superb amateur career. An Arnold Palmer Cup player in 2017, he graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Florida where he helped his Nova Sharks team to a National Championship in 2015. Like so many golfers, his transition to the pro game didn’t always come easy but through sheer determination and talent, he has well and truly found his feet now.
Richard achieved his Challenge Tour card in 2019 which then developed into his European Tour card for the 2021 Season where he has achieved 3 Top 15 finishes and played in his first major, The Open Championship. Richard has continued his great form into the 2022 season qualifying for both The 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews and in addition, the US Open, whilst continuing to perform fantastically well on the DP World Tour which has included 10 Top 10 finishes.
In 2023, Richard was selected by Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald to represent Team GB&I in The Hero Cup joining a team of ten players including Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry and Tyrrell Hatton. Richard continued his form into 2023 with highlights including Top 10 finishes at the Singapore Class, the Open de Espana and the Andalucia Masters. With a goal to play on the PGA Tour, there’s much more to come from this rising English star.
